ONE CONTAINER DOES IT ALL
Locally developed, environmentally sensitive material destined to become a kitchen staple
 |
FoldTuk-brand cookware is fabricated from Ceramber, a new material. This roaster goes from stove to tabletop and collapses for easy storage. |
Ceramber, a name derived from “ceramic,” is a material developed by Richmonder Duncan Fung and is being successfully merchandised in cookware under the name FoldTuk. This versatile, naturally non-stick product is destined to become a star in the marketplace.
Use it for oven or microwave cooking and for serving and storing leftovers. FoldTuk containers are both freezer-and dishwasher-safe, come in a variety of shapes, and are offered in a spectrum of colors. Both the four- and six-cup containers collapse to an inch tall.
The flexibility and toughness of Ceramber are key. It is virtually unbreakable, heats and cools fast, and is environmentally friendly. It takes less energy to produce than similar products, and it is biodegradable.
The cookware is a real breakthrough for kitchen use and a convenient way to carry food away from home — one container does it all. Tailgaters, backpackers, beachcombers, campers, and spectators will be taking advantage of its advance in packaging.
“It’s only the beginning,” says FoldTuk director and chief executive officer George Arnold. “We will introduce more than 10 houseware products with these features in the coming year. The first will be a roaster large enough to cover a 16-pound turkey. The container will be eight inches tall when fully expanded and will collapse to less than three inches tall for storage. It will be out in time for the holidays.”
FoldTuk’s sales are off to a fast start and have already reached Europe and Japan. The reasonable cost (starting at $15.99 for the four-cup size) makes the containers practical, convenient, and space-saving additions to your cooking equipment.
