Bazura Biz, a Toronto-based manufacturer, recently introduced a new line of bags and fashion accessories called Banner Bags. Eco-friendly and stylish, they are made from recycled advertising banners from billboards in Vietnam.

Banner Bags come in tote and messenger styles. There's also an apron and a yoga mat available in the same fabrication.
Customer feedback has been quite positive, with consumers responding to the comfortable PVC material and colorful graphics. No two bags are alike.
According to the company's Web site, Bazura Biz founder Larry Duprey has played a pioneering role in the emergence of the eco-fashion movement. Frustrated by Western society's wastefulness, his mission is to look for ways to give garbage a new life. He is accomplishing this by creating stylish new bags and accessories made from recycled materials that support fair trade and environmental stewardship.
The original Bazura Bag collection features chic but affordable handbags and accessories that are made from recycled juice containers by a women's cooperative in the Philippines. Due to the success of this line, the company expanded its efforts to transform trash into treasure with the launch of a Vintage Bag collection from India. Hand-crafted by women in their homes using recycled textiles from tapestries and blankets, these fashionable bags and accessories are also offered in various styles and sizes in an assortment of attractive colors.
All of the bags and accessories from Bazura Biz are adding glamour to recycled goods while supporting the livelihood of less fortunate (but empowered) women and their families. They are competitively priced from $10.95 to $39.95 and available online at bazurashop.com and also at retailers throughout Canada and the U.S.
